Re: Prelude: Miner Diner Sixty-Niner
Zeke takes the explosive patches and moves back several feet. Instead placing the burdesome plastic along the archway leading into the chamber. "If there is something in der that we can't deal with make for the exit and we blow the entry before skadadaling up yonder"...
...And the stone of the earth and the wind in the sky bowed before the wisdom of the Ancient One...

"Ah, yes," says Veejay absently, now absorbed in cutting open the door and seeing what lies beyond. What secrets are the Illuminati hiding here? And will he be able to get away before they mindwipe him this time?

Re: Prelude: Miner Diner Sixty-Niner
Gus' pride looks to be wounded when Zeke and Dr. Veejay tell him to stop placing the plastic explosive on top of the bulkhead door. The runty little man even goes so far as to begin pouting like a spoiled child not getting their way. The whiner's mood is quickly silenced however, by Zeke, as the man quickly puts him in his place with nothing more than a stern glance and the slightest raise of a backhand. Still sulking over the matter, Gus merely resides to one part of the room and begins fashioning crude farm animals out of the plastique that he has left over.
Dr. Veejay's initial examination of the room denotes the age of the chamber as well as several additional findings. The quizzical professor then lends his assistance to his newfound companion in trying to sever the bulkhead door's hinges with his blowtorch. As he does so, Zeke eventually finds himself placing plastic explosives around the archway leading into the chamber itself. Should they run across anything "foul."
A few minutes go by and the pair quickly realize that it is going to take a lot more than a simple cutter's torch to remove the hinges. Simply put, the thing was made to last! Fashioned in bomb shelter design, the tempered steel structure seems to resist most of the torch's heat and soon proves to be rather troublesome. Glowing red and then white hot, the bulkhead's hinges give little way to the two's endeavor and slowly begins to cool itself back down as the two ponder their next course of action.
Meanwhile, topside, Slim hisses wildly. Shouting down below, he comments. "We've got company!"
