Prologue: Now Accepting Applications

It's been twelve long years since "The Year of the Comet" and Japan was forced to issue orders that would withdraw their troops from the surrounding regions of their Empire in order to help rebuild their devastated Homeland. Now, over a decade after the "Ring of Fire" incident later, the Land of the Rising Sun seeks to regain its former foothold in these lands long since abandoned by any serious forms of a military presence. Among the Corporations seeking to gain favor in their Emperor's eyes, Mitsuhama, Renraku, & Shiawase stand out as the three most prominent ones to do so. Having already slipped in favor in the past, Renraku Corporation has vowed to do so with fervency and once more reclaim their Number One position amongst the others. Enter our Players and Game.

House of the Rising Sun is a Shadowrun campaign set in the year 2073. Players assume the roles of a band of runners that is hired on under Renraku Retainer. Their goal, that of reestablishing and maintaining a proper foothold in their Employer''s formerly dominated territories outside Japan. Missions will include: Lots of Wetwork, Political Espionage, an occasional Milk Run or two, as well as Lots and Lots of Para-military Activity. After all, in an Imperial Empire filled with nothing but Blood-thirsty Corporate Cutthroats and Sneaky Underhanded Backstabbers, there can really only be one House that truly rises to the occasion and outshines the rest. Can you help Renraku become the House? Join the ranks of the House of the Rising Sun today!

Game run by Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto himself, Eanwulf.

Leviathan enjoys making conversation about the arts and with these women, steering away from his favorite topic of political philosophy, considering that these two work for his current employer. Part of their job may be to report back on the conversation to Marika. He refuses their offer of more intimate activities for the same reason--it seems foolish to get entangled in such a manner with women whose loyalties will lie elsewhere.

Gun is happy to be 'invaded' as it were. He laughs, drinks, and generally tries to have pleasant time. He totally ignores Leviathan, and if the man won't get involved, more for him. When the night comes, he leaves with one or both of them.

"Perhaps," Point replies before heading out to leave as there seems to be no opportunity to learn more about Assaiki or his employer now, which is a bit disappointing to the Japanese who was curious to find more about the man's association with the yakuza.

When all is said and done, Point leaves to prepare for the trip, beginning to look for anything helpful from blueprints of the Leviathan to the current crew aboard the rig.

** Gun & Leviathan **
Try as she might, Leviathan's escort can not seem to get the man to lower his defenses long enough to enjoy the pleasures she has to offer. Nevertheless, the time spent by all is entertaining enough and in the end Leviathan bids the two women adieu as Gun takes them both upstairs. The rest of the night is then spent contemplating their current mission or enjoying the fulfillment of one's carnal desires. No matter the choice, our two runners' outcome is the same; traveling to Essendon Airport the following day.

** Lyssa & Point **
Having departed the Tokyo Rose, Lyssa and Point make their way back home. The two runners then spend time researching the rig they are to sabotage. When all is said and done, they finally sleep and awaken to the bustle of a new day. In time, they make their way to Essendon Airport where they await their flight to Perth.
Moving things along as able. Providing Legwork results as well.

Lyssa decided to sleep on the plane, now it would be research time, while she suspected that this job was a relatively simple one, designed to test their abilities, she had learned not to fully trust the information Johnson provided. Takeshi putting herself behind this added an extra level of relative safety, but nontheless. Time to snoop a bit around inside Eastern Tiger, make it look like the regular paydata mining.
I think this is going to be a "probe target" in hot VR to get, which is a DP14, Threshold of system+firewall. Extended test, 1 hour intervals. I'll aim for an admin account which adds +6 to the threshold. The first time I log into the account created, it gets firewall+analyze against my DP14 Hacking+Stealth, I will change from VR to AR immediately after logging in, I'm using the hot sim to get a boost when attempting to get the node to accept my account as valid, but after that, AR is more effective, and safe.

Primarily, I want to find stuff on the rig, but I'll snatch whatever else I can find as well, it's named paydata for a reason, plus it will help conceal that I'm after info on the rig.

I have the following programs running all the time:
Biofeedback Filter*
Armor
Stealth
Two slots where I'll be running whatever program I need to use at the time (such as exploit)

*not needed after leaving VR, but might just keep it running to make them toss Black IC at me if they have it.

She'll find some coffin hotel or something, needs to be a place that offers anonymity (no cameras, nobody cares about your SIN) and safety (no robbers), though for the latter part, she does have motion sensors with her, so she can get alerts if someone tries to open the door. From here, she will do the probe target action. They might be able to figure out that she did it from here, but that would be afterwards. Then she's going to log in on the fake account from someplace else, and then move around while trying to find and grab what she wants.

After Gun goes upstairs with the two escorts, Leviathan leaves the place and heads home on his bike, to get some rest before the job begins.

After finishing research and before leaving their small place, Point has packed what she needs for the job and as soon as she's through the door and heading for the airport, she's already geared up for the job. Clad in a dark blue business suit and with a briefcase in her hand, the Japanese, posing as a Korean, looks like she could arrive at the rig any minute now as the inspectors they are going to be.

After some rest, Leviathan makes sure all his gear is in order and prepares to depart for the mission.

With perhaps the exception of Gun, the night before the run is spent doing much homework and preparation. In time the sun rises and a new day starts. Pray that it is a good one!
Alright, working on new thread post. Mission One will begin as soon as I can write it, meanwhile defer to the OOC THREAD ON MISSION PREPARATION until then.
