Mission One: Snoring Along Peacefully

It's been twelve long years since "The Year of the Comet" and Japan was forced to issue orders that would withdraw their troops from the surrounding regions of their Empire in order to help rebuild their devastated Homeland. Now, over a decade after the "Ring of Fire" incident later, the Land of the Rising Sun seeks to regain its former foothold in these lands long since abandoned by any serious forms of a military presence. Among the Corporations seeking to gain favor in their Emperor's eyes, Mitsuhama, Renraku, & Shiawase stand out as the three most prominent ones to do so. Having already slipped in favor in the past, Renraku Corporation has vowed to do so with fervency and once more reclaim their Number One position amongst the others. Enter our Players and Game.

House of the Rising Sun is a Shadowrun campaign set in the year 2073. Players assume the roles of a band of runners that is hired on under Renraku Retainer. Their goal, that of reestablishing and maintaining a proper foothold in their Employer''s formerly dominated territories outside Japan. Missions will include: Lots of Wetwork, Political Espionage, an occasional Milk Run or two, as well as Lots and Lots of Para-military Activity. Can you help Renraku become the House? Join the ranks of the House of the Rising Sun today!

This Thread Is For Lyssa (Zorbeltuss) Only!

Shortly after Lyssa lies down; her body goes limp and then remains inert for some time. The woman's eyes roll about in her head, causing the eyelids to flutter and rotate softly, as if she were dreaming. In time the movement slows, all but ceasing when the hacker's mind enters the digital ether that is the Matrix.

As Lyssa's seemingly slumbers, Gun and Leviathan exchange glances with one another. Meh...

Lyssa's Avatar soars amidst a slipstream of data, eventually rezzing into view aboard a chopper hovering high atop the clouds of a panoramic ocean setting. Down below, rising atop the choppy waters of a virtual reality depicted sea, the sculpted representation of Leviathan can be seen going about its daily affairs in far much less detail than the original. Next to Lyssa, in an adjacent seat aboard the chopper, rests a parachute.
The parachute is your Stealth Program.

Locating Wireless Node Success.

Congratulations, you have finally managed to find the Rig's Matrix Gateway Node via an Internal Wireless Connection, i.e. inside the building is much easier to hack than outside the building because it has its own wireless connection contained within.

Also, most of the rig appears to be quite self-sufficient and independent from the need of an external wireless link-up, i.e. you got to go looking for it in order to find the node as opposed to it just showing up on the result of a topic search, etc.

And lastly, remember that Nodes rest within Nodes and as such, Simple Actions such as Analyze Node/Icon should be a must and included in your thought processes, as such listed within a post. They help to detect what all you might be facing within a specific area and to further identify just what a node/icon might be capable of.

In your case, you merely stated that you wanted to find the node then probe it for weakness and log in. Do you wish to rethink this process or simply continue?

Do we really need to make it thoroughly complicated? Finding that satelite uplink probably requires this: detect nodes (including detect hidden node action within mutual signal range), and then analyze each of them.

Then the plan is to use my own satlink (preferably such that my own signal is so accurately directed that it's unlikely to be noticed), and go up into space and then a few times around the world and then up into space again and down through the satlink that the rig ought to have. Prod the system for weakness, wants admin account.
