Book 1 - Act 1 - The Wormwood

The shipping lanes of Golarion's seas and oceans are filled with fat merchant vessels laden with trade goods both mundane and exotic, as well as the pirates and freebooters who prey on them. Under the banner of their Hurricane King, these buccaneers sally forth from that archipelago of lawless pirate ports and anchorages known as the Shackles, plundering the shipping of countless countries and trade consortiums, then vanishing back into the maze of islands and reefs they call home. The nations of the Inner Sea would like nothing more than to end the pirate menace once and for all, but the eternal hurricane known as the Eye of Abendego has thus far shielded the Free Captains of the Shackles from the threat of retaliation.

In the Skull & Shackles Adventure Path, the PCs take on the role of pirates, but they must make a name for themselves in piracy, plunder, and disrepute to truly become infamous Free Captains of the Shackles.

Round 6 Maggie 20, Toruk 14, Jain 14, Rahadoumi 14, Aya 10, Rod 10, Sandara 10

Round 7 Maggie 20, Toruk 14, Jain 14, Rahadoumi 14, Aya 10, Rod 10, Sandara 10
Aya moves, her song still in the air, she sings a jaunted salty tune that keeps you moditivated to defend the ship. Maggie shouts to rind folks of the orders the Master Gunner handed down, and Aya follows through on them. The slender woman takes her rapier and sticks it through the man's gut. He grabs at the wound as she yanks the blade away, then he topples to starboard and pinwheels over the railing with a splash into the sea below.

Roderick comes running from the port stairs and cross the deck. As he slides into join the melee he snaps a kick into the sailor's knee sending him toppling to the deck.

Sandara moves up to the rail between sterncastle and aft deck and draws her heavycross bow, loads it, and braces it on the railing now ready to fire on your foes. "Give'm hell lads!"

Maggie and Toruk a moment before Jain...
Haya: If you take a move action to move, like moving 30 feet, you can not also use a 5ft Step. If you make any movement for distance you can't use the 5ft step. You could take other types of move actions, like stand from prone, and still 5ft step. But since you can move diagonal, your end location was still good.

Aya: Isnpire Courage, Move, Attack #2 19 Hit for 6 Dmg, DEAD
Rod: Move, Trip (Cover from Corner +2 AC): CMB 22 vs 13 Success, Tripped
Sandara: 5ft, Switch to Heavy Crossbow, Load Heavy Crossbow

Seeing that everyone else seems to have matters in hand with the last enemy sailor, Maggie moves port to cover the other set of stairs. "Mind the starboard stairs," she says to Toruk as she heads off.
Move Action: SW Sx3 SE

Round 7 - 10: The Tides of Battle

Post by Vardaen » Thu Jan 30, 2014 1:05 am

Round 7 Maggie 20, Toruk 14, Jain 14, Rahadoumi 14, Aya 10, Rod 10, Sandara 10
Maggie and Toruk both delay a moment, they ready to defend the ship from incoming attacks, the row boats are their's to protect. Jain on the other hand, still raging, steps up and puts his boaring axe sideways into the ribs of the enemy sailor. He twists and the ribs pop as he splits them before kicking the corpse off his axe, "More! Bring it on!"

Through the fading fog you can make out the fighting on the rest of the ship. Scattered Rahadoumi crew are fighting for their lives or are surrendering. You watch as Rosie Cuswell kicks a man in the groin and the accepts his surrender with a smile. Another man has his throat slit by Scourge as he slips up behind the Man's Promise sailor who has just thrown down his sword -- Scourge slices his throat anyhow.

The battle rages on down on the ship, but for you hold your position, and you hold it well. For the moment you have a chance to regroup. As you do you watch breifly as Captain Harrigan appears from below deck for just a moment with what appears to be a human hear in his hands! He shouts something and then slips below deck again.

You hold your ground....
Maggie: Move, Ready
Toruk: Move Ready
Jain: 5ft, Rage POWER ATTACK ARRRRGH!" 23 Hit for 12 DEAD
You have what is left of Round 7, and then 8,9,10 to basically do as you please.

Please post what you might want to do, heal, stop singing, raging, re-position, draw new weapons, shields, etc..

On Round 11 combat for you will start again.

"That went quite quickly," Aya says, her voice no longer melodic and cheering her fellow sailors on. She grins at the annihilated groin of one Rhadoumi while trying to ignore the pointless bloodshed by Scourge. Not that she thinks his actions are wrong just that they have no purpose as far as the young kitsune can tell. With their fighting done here at the boats she returns to the aftdeck, glad that her armor was not tested against an opponent as she knows full well that it is only little protection.
Move: SE, E x 2.

But that is more or less it.

Toruk maintains his position on the starboard stairs. He was ordered to guard them and that he would try to do. Knowing he has enough power to cast but one more offensive, he draws his morningstar and gives it a few swings. It has always felt slightly foreign in his hands and now is no different.
Draw Morningstar and wait for what may come!

"Let's get back to the quarterdeck everyone," Maggie calls out. "Guard the stairways and get ready to defend against anyone who tries to take back the wheel." Then, for good measure, she calls upon Besmara for some healing if any of the boarding party has been injured.
If there is a crossbow lying around, Maggie will pick it up (with bolts) and get ready to rain damage down from above on anyone that threatens the stairs.

Also, while we're alone, use a Channel Energy or two to make sure everyone is healed up.

Rod bows to Maggie. "Aye aye my lady." He blows her a kiss and returns to guard the port stairs again, cutlass in hand.

Round 11: Abandon Ship

Post by Vardaen » Fri Jan 31, 2014 7:44 pm

Sandara has her new crossbow in hand, and once Maggie channels the power of Besmara to heal the group she looks to do the same. The wave of healing power from Maggie helps Jain and Rod, the group is refreshed and ready, but still Jain has some bad wounds. So Sandara also channels energy, "Besmara you greedy bitch, heal my companions for me! Now!" She forces her hands out and the healing is twice as powerful as Maggies. Everyone is feeling good.

People position themselves, with crossbows and weapons. Jain stands at the bottom of the stairs, he's snarling and swinging his blade, "Come on! More blood! Bring it on you scurvy dogs!"

Maggie: Channel +6
Sandara Channel +12

Both of you rolled max! Nice.

Everyone is healthy but Jain

Jain 30/33, Rage continues

Aya, Inspire Ended. That Grease remains.
You don't have to wait long in less than twenty seconds you can see the fog nearly all gone now reveals the battle going on all over the bow of the ship. From here you are witness to a sad sight. Jack Scrimshaw, the young man that's helped Aya a few times takes a cutlass to the back and is slain by the crew of the Man's Promise. There are sure to be other deaths, a hard thing to face when your small group has done so well.

Then out of the chaos comes running a Rahadoumi Officer with two sailors at her side. She points at the starboard boat, giving her men orders, "Abandon Ship!" They look to escape, and your brief rest is over.
