Fellowship of the Dice

Aya has stayed in postion near the aftdeck most of the time but when Jack Scrimshaw is killed she loses her composure because she was very, very fond of the young man who has shown a rare bit of kindness on the Wormwood.

"I'LL RIP YOUR THROAT OUT!" She shouts, tears in her eyes, at the arrival of the Rahadoumi and rushes forward, throwing just five feet of anger and dismay against them to make those responsible for the death of Jack pay with their own life.

Aya shouts, he breaks down seeing Jack get killed. She bounds forward, over extending herself perhaps, but she shoves her rapier into the belly of one of the sailors with no remorse now. The blade sinks deeply into the flesh of the enemy making that man pay for being part of this crew.

The rest of you...

"I am with you Aya! For Jack, for Jack!" Rod runs at the other man, slashing at the man's throat.

Aya turns as Rod shouts he's with her. The man darts across the deck, blade in hand, tipped just a bit to give him a defenseive edge to parry with. Then he feints, ducks and strikes. He stabs one of the men in the collar bone, just missing the man's throat by a narrow margin. The blade pierces into the flesh, deeply, and the sailor screams out in pain.

The rest of the heroes....

Toruk maintains his stance on the stairs as a new wave of sailors appear. He guesses that one may be an officer based on her different garb. "A worthy target!" He sends his final orb, for the time being at the female officer.

Toruk finds himself a worthy target, the woman is clearly dressed as an officer and so he fires off a magical missile at her. The bolt strikes her on the shoulder knocking he back and step.

Then Sandara moves some, to be able to shoot over Aya and Rod and fires her crossbow, but she aims high and fires off into the distance striking Besmara knows what.

Then Jain, looking almost spend, shouts, "Arrrgh! DEATH TO ALL!" He leaps forward, his boarding axe plants itself in the chest of the sailor and between that and Rod's strike the man topples to the deck very dead. Jain then starts to pant, the battle rage is ending, his body is giving out from the long fight.

Maggie...

Moving up so that she can get a shot above Rod and Jain's heads, Maggie fires off her captured crossbow at the enemy officer.

Maggie, up on the sterncastle has a decent view over the heads of his crew. She braces her crossbow and fires. The weapon sends a bolt that grazes the arm of the Rahadoumi Officer. The woman looks up at Maggie, curses at her, and then her and the man left lunch into an attack on Aya and Jain. The sailor, wounded, swings, but its weak and Aya easily parries the strike.

Then the officer takes her boarding pike slams the hooked tip into the chest of Roderick and then shouts, "Get away from me!" The boarding pike magically extends out to twenty feet! The pole telescopes out, pushing Roderick back across the deck. As he lurches back the sailor swings at him but misses as the man is suddenly quite some distance from where he started! That's one way to repel boarders.

The heroes...

While things happen around her Aya pays them little mind. The young kistune just slashes away at the sailor before her the only thought on her mind to kill them all, not even a tune to inspire her remaining friends is coming to her mind.

Roderick grunts as he is pushed back but recovers quickly.
"So you wanna play hard to get, wench? Come 'ere an' have a cutlass sandwich ye jumped up grass combin' chunk o' bat spit!"

Rod lunges at the officer, ignoring his wound, and if she tries to stab him on the way, he grabs a bit of rope hanging down from the mast and tries to jump a bit to avoid her attack. Then he tries to stick his cutlass into her belly.
