The shipping lanes of Golarion's seas and oceans are filled with fat merchant vessels laden with trade goods both mundane and exotic, as well as the pirates and freebooters who prey on them. Under the banner of their Hurricane King, these buccaneers sally forth from that archipelago of lawless pirate ports and anchorages known as the Shackles, plundering the shipping of countless countries and trade consortiums, then vanishing back into the maze of islands and reefs they call home. The nations of the Inner Sea would like nothing more than to end the pirate menace once and for all, but the eternal hurricane known as the Eye of Abendego has thus far shielded the Free Captains of the Shackles from the threat of retaliation.
In the Skull & Shackles Adventure Path, the PCs take on the role of pirates, but they must make a name for themselves in piracy, plunder, and disrepute to truly become infamous Free Captains of the Shackles.
Round 1 Seroneth 23, Rod 20, Flavina 16,Fishpork 9
Seroeneth enchants her blade and then vanishes. She moves unseen up to the railing, in a good spot if this Marsh Giant Fishpork climbs up the ship.
Roderick launches his harpoon Deathknell at the massive creature. The harpoon slams into its leg and lodges itself there. The captain tugs and tries to shake the attached rope to get it to grapple and loop around its foe, but he can't. So he drops the rope and draws his rapier the Brine's Sting ready for a melee.
Flavina flies up behind Rod some feet above him and casts a spell that falls over those friendlies she can see. Her, Meri, and Rod all are hasted, an unnatural magical speed is theirs now.
Fishpork...

Round 2 Seroneth 23, Rod 20, Flavina 16, Meri 12, Fishpork 9
Fishpork waves his hands, slobbering and making strange noises, then a thick cloud of fog settles over the ship's mid section! Fishpork is a spell caster?!?! As the fog settles you can no longer see more than a foot or two in front of you can you don't know where the creature went or where your allies are. Where is Meri? Wasn't she going to help out?
Seroenth, Rod and Flavina....
Fishpork: Fog Cloud (Mid Ship + ?)

Quickly casting a spell, Seroneth slides through the mist to where she remembers the giant to be and strikes!
Casting Intensified Shocking Grasp (and holding the charge), moving while still invisible up to the giant, and then attacking with Spellstrike. If my calculations are correct, I'm swinging at a +16 to hit (my normal +13, +1 from haste, +2 from being invisible), and then the giant doesn't get its dex bonus to ac. Crit range is 15-20. And if it hits, I do 8d6 shock damage as well. ^_^
Unsure of the fog cloud placement, so I might have a 20% miss chance due to concealment?
"Besmara's holy buttocks! Rod exclaims, "What foul weather!" He sheathes Brime's sting and pulls at the rope the harpoon is attached to until he can grasp it. If he can, the throws it at the giant again.
Sheathe rapier, haul in harpoon (the end of the rope must still be somewhere near). If he has time (hasted), he throws the harpoon again ("seeking" quality), holding on to the other end of the rope still.
Round 2 Seroneth 23, Rod 20, Flavina 16, Meri 12, Fishpork 9
Seroneth summons lightning to her hand, and steps out of the fog, almost falling off the gangplank in the difficult to see terrain. She moves down, finding Fishpork has moved, and then swings blade and spell at the Marsh Troll with terribly inaccurate skill. She suddenly becomes visible, missing her swing very very wide, as she nearly slips on the fog slicked dock! Ooops!
Rod puts away his blade and reaches down for the rope of the harpoon, finding its moved as Fishpork has moved (not that he can see more than a few feet in front of his face). "Where is it?" he asks as he searches about unable to find the rope on the end of the harpoon!
Flavina...
Blame Shurijo its his dice roller not mine
Combat Round 2
Seroneth: Shocking Grasp (hold), Move out of Fog, Deliever with Spellstrike: "1" (Fumble Confirm: 32) Not a Fumble. You can keep the charge, but lose the Invisiblity
Rod: Search "1" Can't find the end of the rope in the fog. (you also can't see more han 3 feet in any direction)

Flavinia, glides unseen out of the fog, surveys the scene and conjures up a ball of fire to roll and bounce it's way onto Fishpork's hindquarters, few knowing her would doubt for a second that she did that part on purpose.
Move 45' northwest, so 30' left and 30' up on the map.
Cast Flaming Sphere have it roll into the lower left square that Fishpork is standing. 3d6 fire damage, reflex DC 18 to negate (which will continue). Presumably she becomes visible once the sphere rolls to cook the fish.
Round 2 Seroneth 23, Rod 20, Flavina 16, Fishpork 9
Round 3 Seroneth 23, Rod 20, Flavina 16, Fishpork 9
Flavina moves out of the fog, as far back as she dares still having line of sight on the creature. He's tall, but at a much lower level under the deck of the ship. Still, she's in a good spot, and bounces a flaming sphere into his backside sending burning flames up it. It grumbles and howls as its burnt, but not cooked. It doesn't even move as it slams each fist into Seroneth. The impact of the giant's knuckles into her stomach doubles her over, then again she's hit for an uppercut that knocks her back bloody and wounded.
The crew of the ship...
Flavina: Move, Flaming Sphere: Ref Save: "1" not auto, but he fails: 10 Fire Dmg
Fishpork: Double Slam Seroenth: 33 hit for 10, 34 hit for 12

Roderick sees that he cannot find the harpoon right now. Luckily, he knows his ship and steps on the gangplank and to Seroneth's side. While moving, he draws his rapier again, and having come close to the giant, attempts to run throigh his knee! He stays careful, however, always ready to parry or dodge.
- Move south onto the gangplank and just north of Seroneth, so he is in melee reach. If it takes two moves, use quick runner's shirt.
- Use Combat Expertise for -1 Attack and +2 AC (Threatening Defender)
- Standard: Targeted Strike at Fishpork's legs with Brine's Sting Rapier.
Targeted Strike (Ex): At 7th level, as a full-round action the swashbuckler can spend 1 panache point to make an attack with a single light or one-handed piercing melee weapon that cripples part of a foe’s body. The swashbuckler chooses a part of the body to target. If the attack succeeds, in addition to the attack’s normal damage, the target suffers one of the following effects based on the part of the body targeted. If a creature doesn’t have one of the listed body locations, that body part cannot be targeted. Creatures that are immune to sneak attacks are also immune to targeted strikes. Items or abilities that protect a creature from critical hits also protect a creature from targeted strikes.
...
- Legs: The target is knocked prone. Creatures with four or more legs or that are immune to trip attacks are immune to this effect.
...
- Swift: If it is a hit, use menacing swordplay
Menacing Swordplay (Ex): At 3rd level, while she has at least 1 panache point, when a swashbuckler hits an opponent with a light or one-handed piercing melee weapon, she can choose to use Intimidate to demoralize that opponent as a swift action instead of a standard action.
Flavinia chuckles to herself about the prospect of lighting up the big guy's arse and conjures up another sphere to make it twice as hot.
Another flaming sphere, so now 2xDC18 reflex for 3d6 fire damage for each failure.
Also fly 45-60' back towards the ship, maybe climb a little to maintain line of sight, but inside the fog to get a little concealment from fishgut would be nice.[/occ]
