Don't forget that Meri now has Craft Wondrous items. You can ask her nicely to craft stuff for you guys.

Re: Chatter - Leveling Up
Cool, then Meri is really a "carpenter" now.
Question: Could you make Gloves of Duelling? We could get "greater magic weapon" from Xie, I think.

Re: Chatter - Leveling Up
Do we have enough money for that? I would need 7500 gold worth of materials, I think I can craft that item with no chance of failure based on my spellcraft. I can even waive the requirement for Greater Magic Weapon if it weren't available for some reason.

Re: Chatter - Leveling Up
Just to put the timeline into perspective, the first time the group came to Rickety's it was still within the same published book, but it was Oct, 2014!
The entire existence of Rickety’s Squibs relies upon the service it provides in the refitting of ships. A squibbing costs 20% of a ship’s purchase price and requires a minimum of 1d4+4 days to complete, at which point Rickety must make a DC 15 Craft (ships) check (his skill modifier is +14). Once a ship has been successfully squibbed, a DC 20 Perception check is required for someone familiar with the original ship to recognize the squib for what it is after observing it closely for at least 2 minutes.
Roll 1d4+4 to determine the number of days the squibbing will require, and Rickety quotes that amount of time and a base price of 2,000 gp to squib the Man’s Promise. Rickety can also install hidden 5-foot-square smuggling compartments in the bulkheads of a ship for an additional 500 gp each (a DC 20 Perception check is required to locate such compartments in a search) with no increase to the time.
At MY discretion, Rickety can also install other ship improvements, as detailed on pages 26–28 of the Skull & Shackles Player’s Guide page 20.
Rickey is already friendly to Rod from previous quests, so he knocks 10% off the price. Haggling Roll (Meri +2 Aid another) Rod's Roll total = 28 Rickey will knock another 5% off.
So its 2000 - 15% = 1700 to Squib it.
Takes 6 Days to do the base Squib
You will need a new name of course now.
Rickey's is a village size, so selling your plunder is 300 per point, but you can raise it. Meri handles that Diplomacy: She can take a 10 = 25 that raises it up to the max of 40% = 400gp [per point of plunder]
So you give 1 point to the crew to keep them happy, and sell 10 points for 4000gp - 1700gp = 2300 left.
The Thresher already has a Broad Rudder and 1 Smuggling Compartment
Cost Of Options He Has
Additional Crew Quarters 2000
Concealed Weapon Port 100 each
Extended Keel 1000
Figure Head! Hey don't you have one to attach? 100gp to attach it.
Ram 1000
Rapid Deploy sails 1000
Wooden Plating 2000

Re: Chatter - Leveling Up
I've added the options that Rickey has available here. So no Sill Sails.
