The Snows of Summer Part II: The Depths of Winter

It has been a century since the immortal witch Baba Yaga last visited the world, and the hour draws nigh for her return. But when she fails to appear in the frozen realm of Irrisen to usher in its newest ruler, pockets of winter begin to grow throughout the Inner Sea region. After 1,400 years of perpetual winter, the icy curse of Irrisen is spreading! What links do these strange blizzards and swaths of wintry landscapes have with Irrisen, and is there any truth to the growing rumors that the Witch Queen Elvanna has taken full control of the realm? Can her plans for the Inner Sea be thwarted, or will the Reign of Winter engulf the world?

"Not true Nyria, have you never heard of Cayden Cailean, or his order of drunks?" He notices Kassius take the mug, and that he doesn't drink throughout the night. He takes note, Another reason not to trust the witch's concubine! Never trust a man that doesn't drink!

He continues to comment to the halfling, "Our friend Zym was a devote worshiper of Cayden Cailean, and a good brew was his holy symbol."

For his part, Kolya enjoys the wine. Growing up as a Varisian had given him an appreciation for the good things in life. "Enjoy what you can today," he advises Kassius. "You never know what tomorrow will bring."

Eòghan points a finger at Kolya, "So true so true. But we know that tomorrow will bring more winter, more battle, and more enemies of the Witches. I wouldn't be surprised if one of this group doesn't survive it all." He finishes his first mug and starts on a second, "Not me of course, I'll out live all of you." He winks his one good eye at Nyria and lifts his mug, "A toast. To Cayden Cailean, to fallen friends, and to friends who have yet to fall!" He clanks mugs with everyone and downs the second mug in a single gulp, and starts on a third.

"Not if you don't watch yourself." Nyria smiles back before toasting and finishing her drink.

Kolya isn't shy about drinking his wine, but he doesn't get into it with as much gusto as Eòghan. For one thing, the warlock knows that he probably weighs half of what the Ulfen does, even if he was soaking wet. For another, wine is to be enjoyed, not guzzled.

Sverin smiles at the group and merrliy joins in the drinking, keeping up with Eoghan at first but backing off as well.
After a few drinks, he turns to the large Ulfen:
"Hey, Eoghan, join me if you know this one."
He proceeds to start singing one of the many drinking songs his father had thaught him.

"Haha! Most excellent song!" Eòghan joins in with Sverin singing the song and clanking his mug with others or banging on the table at certain points in the chorus. He tries to relax, and enjoy himself, even giving Vrixx something to eat during the evening being in a wine induced good mood. He doesn't over do it too much, and with a full belly of dinner, and a half dozen mugs of wine finally in him he eventually turns in to bed, just throwing his blankets on the floor before the fire and curling up with Grip in front of the heat in the living room.
I'm ready to move on.

Kolya stays up until the drinking is over. At that point he gathers up the cups and brings them into the kitchen to wash them and put them away. If they were going to drink their host's wine, the least they could do is clean it all up afterwards. Then, his task done, he too curls up and goes to sleep, though he leaves the prime places in front of the fire to those who need it most.
By all means, let's move on.

Kassius helps Kolya in cleaning up then looks for some comfort on a couch next to the others.

Having drank maybe a tad too much, Nyria shakes her wrists and warm clothing come out of her sleeves to wrap her. She then passes out on the closest soft surface she can find.
