Looking about, there's no sign of the serpent. There is also no sign of anyone else on deck. There is likely a few people under deck, but it might be flooded. The rapied movement back and forth on deck makes it difficult for Chael'Ha to move at all, let alone in any real direction other than to keep herself standing.

The ship lurches again, this time oddly. It seems the ship is lifted off the waves, and Chael'Ha quickly sees why. The ship cracks and snaps in half under the pressure of the huge maul of the sea dragon. The ship folds in half and Chael'Ha falls straight down. With wood, water, and blood all around her she plunges into the gullet of the beast. Death is fleeting.

Her eyes open to the sun above. He back aches slightly as Chael'Ha rolls over to her side. She quickly realizes she's on a roof, somehow, someway. It makes no sense, of course, as she was just in the middle of the Inner Sea.

Chael'Ha gets up on her knees and looks about. Sun? Inside a sea serpent? She had heard of serpents breathing fire, but this? Shakily, she gets up, and looks around, ready to move out of danger quickly.

Chael'Ha looks down and confirms she is on a rooftop. Below, there are streets, people, and the hustle and bustle of a city. It is warm, which really is no suprise, but she does not recognize anything. The buildings are fairly typical, but how she got to this city, and on top of a roof, is a complete mystery. The people walking by don't seem to see her currently.

Chael'Ha shrugs. She remembers when she once visited the PLaza of Dark Delights in the City of Lankhmar and there had been some strange new stall with strange light coming from it. She had guessed it came from some other place, not Nehwohn, and had avoided it. Anyway, a girl had to play with the cards that were dealt to her, so she looks around to find a way down, maybe a stair or ladder. If there is nothing, she looks for some other way to climb down. Whatever she does, she tries to blend into her surroundings.

There's no obvious ladder, but she finds a way to climb down into an alleyway. No one passing pays her much mind at all. She can see a square leading in various directions in the midst of a bunch of buildings. She needs to decide which way to go, or what to do next.

Chael'Ha puts up her hood and slips into the streets. On the way, she tries listening in on conversations to see if she knows the language or if she can find out some details (name of ruler, ...). In general, she makes for the square. Could this be Ilthmar? Or Horborixen? Or Mlurg Nar?
Are her clothes still wet or have they supernaturally dried? What could she see of the surroundings of the city (walls? the Sea? Mountains?

Most of what Chael'Ha hears has nothing to do with anything other than the mundane lives of these people. Chael'Ha can tell one thing, though, and that a great deal of them are living in fear. She can see that in their eyes, their gate, and the tone of their words. When she was on the roof, she could see some of the distance, which is all new to her. The north looked particularly odd, though, as the sky seemed to be stained black in that direction. She could tell it wasn't a simple storm. Otherwise, she is not high enough to really see anything of note.

If the local populance are afraid, I should be as well.
Chale'Ha looks around. If she sees that the locals are all dressed in a very different way from her, she looks for a stall or shop where she can buy a cloak or coat or the like in the local fashion and wears it to better blend in. Then she looks for a place where she can get some food, a bar, pup, inn or such.

Finding a shop isn't that hard to find. It is slightly warm, and by the sun, Chael'Ha can tell it is almost noon, so the heat should not be oppressive when noon comes. The garment shop is a simple one, but cloaks can be found. The shopkeeper asks for a silver for the cloak, which seems reasonable. When Chael'Ha passes over the coin, the shopkeeper frowns. "What is this?" He holds it up to the light, "I have never seen this printing before?"

"Someone gave it to me as change when I bought some food when I came into the city. Is there something wrong with it? It is silver isn't it? I have just arrived."
Diplomacy +7 to make her accept the coin, and maybe tell me something about the city.
