Chapter 1: A New World

Aelryn hesitates when Cass moves, looking unhappy and a bit stressed out by the situation, but keeping his bow level on Cass, all the same.

As soon as the guard finishes speaking, Aelryn comments, "That sounds like a perfectly reasonable and peaceful request, doesn't it?"

He locks eyes with Cass, "You've got a good head on your shoulders and an idiot 'friend' who's content to use you as human shield. I don't want to hurt you, but it seems quite obvious that your guard there doesn't want to allow everyone to walk away from this peacefully. You can deal with him, or this can play out in the way that he seems to want it to."

"I don't like this situation at all. I'm still confused on what is what here. But you're the only one holding a weapon. Lower your bow and we'll talk. Or just run away. If you're guilty of anything, we'll meet again. If not, farewell." Then Cass directs his attention to Two Jacks, "Now, you. What do you say about all this? Will you remain silent while accused of being a terrorist?"

Two Jacks laughs, "I don't deny it," he says, "Against the evil of Uradum? These people are enslaved. There was a mass execution of /random/ people just a week ago. A sacrifice to Raughir." Two Jacks spits.

The man next to Cass and Rax gasps, "Lies! Lies and blasphmy! Kill him as you were told by Captain Aranchor!"

Then, while arguing, no one notices a pair coming down the alleyway. One is a pale figure like Cass and Rax had seen before. The other appears to be a human woman. The pale creature has a sword drawn.

Two Jacks curses, "A DRAKKLOTH! We need to go!" He says to Aelryn the elf.

Cass listens carefully to their words trying to determine who is the liar.

Aelryn nods to Jacks, backing towards the manhole the two crawled out of with his bow still drawn.

"Right behind you, Jacks."

[Chanur]

"We should follow them." Rax whispers to Brunotr. "Might be our best chance to find out where the terrorists are."

[Grimbold]

The woman looks at her companion to see what he is up to and loosens her sword in the scabbard. She is curious, so she attempts to sneak closer, unless her captor/companion prevents her from doing so.
