Re: Bugaisha: Assignments
Ide Yutaka rises and bows to the others as they leave, offering his desire that the Fortunes bless them in the Colonies. When all are gone, he moves back into his office where the lamps burn late into the night.

Re: Bugaisha: Assignments
When the meeting is done Yukiko leaves with her husband. The samurai-ko is very happy with their new assignment and in the days before their departure she urges Naseru to repeat all his previous endeavors that were only closely related to the Colonies and his fights during the Destroyer War because at that time she was just reaching preadolescence. The battle maiden also spends a lot of daytime on the back of her mount, taking hours to ride over the desolate land around Outsider Keep and most of the time she stays with her husband anyway.
When the day of their departure arrives she's up early, even earlier than usual to be in full battle armor and completely armed and ready for the trip. Other than her daisho and Moto scimitar, she now carries a lage dai-kyu. Though it is not the battle maidens primary weapon and little of her training was focused on bows, the Utaku has one simply to be flexible when it comes to a fight. She's not an extraordinary archer but that doesn't mean that she does not see the obvious advantage of them. And if they were not at the most foreign place of Rokugan's main land she'd probably join a New Year's archery contest.
This morning she has checked her Utaku steed and waits at the main entrance to the keep, already sitting in the saddle.

The brash samurai is far less so before they leave for the colonies. Ryuu keeps to himself and is hardly seen in public at all. He does not visit his sister or her husband. But, when the day to depart has come, Ryuu is there. He is not first, but he is not last, and seems more or less prepared. Ryuu rests his hand on his Utaku riding horse, running a hand down the mounts neck as he waits.
