Warrior Technology Expo

Everyone has debated for decades over what form the coming apocalypse would take; many think plague, some thing war, some thing famine, others a frightening combination of all the above. What were your predictions? How well did you prepare for the eventuality which came to claim the human race?

In this adventure characters are survivors of the apocalypse, the last bastian of humanity that holds out against the oncoming hard and struggle to delay the inevitable.

We are using the All Flesh Must be Eaten game system for the adventure and players who are unfamiliar with the system will be helped along so that everyone can enjoy the 'fun'

As a note, please don't get too attached to any one character you choose to make, s/he may not make it. Heck, while were at it, go ahead and make a backup character just in case.

Caleb drives off road in his truck. Against his better judgement, he drives the detective back to his car, driving around the clusterfuck of people being forced to stay on the road. "Get what you need and then we leave. I'm down to leave everything and chill in the woods 'till everything goes bad and the we have to counter it."

Caleb awaits three more passengers that he can hold, hoping they are Cali surfer girls with a thing for reclusive rednecks, but knowing he doesn't have that good luck. Instead he will take any non-bloody, nonviolent person.

The drive back to the car is much more involved than the original drive to the hospital. Everyone wants to go this direction and between congestion and people the truck is forced into some areas of the road (or lack there of) which would not be intended for anything short of a 4x4.

The only incident of note is that about a block from the convention center there is a collection of people massed around a single car, they appear to be trying to get into the car by prying open the windows and doors with their fingers and teeth.

Instinctively, Frank nudges Caleb with the knuckles of his left hand and points to the single car with people surrounding it. "Heads up," the man comments softly, "We don't want to draw attention to those fuckers over there." Frank then turns partially towards the back of the cab and eventually comments to Rust. "You sure you want to do this bub? I mean, we had to off-road it a bit already. Do you think your car has what it takes to do the same to get to this guy's cabin?"

Frank grips his weapons tightly and looks around the parking lot nervously as he waits for Rust's reply. Simply put, the man doesn't want to get bit and is already afraid of airborne contaminants.

"I don't know," Rust says, "But we can get all this firepower in here, regardless. Help me collect some of this shit." He pushes open the door and moves quickly to his own car, unlocking it, and producing a standard police issue shotgun from inside. He nods to the building, hoping to get some things out before they are forced to flee.

At the convention center parking lot the group goes through Rust's car to grab the gear he had left behind when they first departed. The parking lot is abandoned and there is a moments calm as all that can be heard is the honking of horns and traffic on the highway almost a quarter of a mile away. In fact looking back at much of the congestion which had formed on the road fleeing town seems to be abandoned cars.

Caleb sees the scramble around the other truck. He brakes, takes the keys out and shoots a shot in the air. "Remember headshots. Fuck it we help people." The hillbilly readies his shotgun to respond. Hopefully the police remember their oath.

Time passes while the group is in the parking lot trying to decide what to do next.

"One of you come with me," Rust says, "The rest guard the cars. We'll start bringing out as much gear as we can." He levels his shotgun before him and walks toward the entrance.

Tara pulls her backpack up and reaches for the truck door handle. "I will help you" She says, now on the outside of the truck.

Tara follows after Rust, throwing her backpack over one shoulder.

Inside the Confrence center everything looks to be as it was left before. Though, something is inherently wrong, and each of those who entered the building can quickly sense it. Like an oppressive force of nature, everyone is on edge.

No one is in sight when the group enters the lobby, and the only sounds are the TV in the lounge and an elicator door that's continuously trying to close and then rebounds as it hits something in its path. Stepping further into the lobby its apparent that what's stopping the elicator door is the body of a man, soaked in blood and missibg half his head.
