A Drive to the Woods

Everyone has debated for decades over what form the coming apocalypse would take; many think plague, some thing war, some thing famine, others a frightening combination of all the above. What were your predictions? How well did you prepare for the eventuality which came to claim the human race?

In this adventure characters are survivors of the apocalypse, the last bastian of humanity that holds out against the oncoming hard and struggle to delay the inevitable.

We are using the All Flesh Must be Eaten game system for the adventure and players who are unfamiliar with the system will be helped along so that everyone can enjoy the 'fun'

As a note, please don't get too attached to any one character you choose to make, s/he may not make it. Heck, while were at it, go ahead and make a backup character just in case.

Frank panics, as if he wasn't already on edge enough. He then thinks about the National Emergencies Act and WEA functions for mobile phones. Commenting, he shakes his head slightly before panicking some more as a sudden sense of paranoia creeps its way in to his soul. "I wouldn't answer those just yet, especially if it's tied into what all is going on. Check for caller ID and text messages first, then answer your phone if need be, but do so from a safe distance from your head. If we're lucky, the phones and radios around here should be going apeshit next."

The phones continue to ring until they all go silent, a voice mail message appears on each of them after its all said and done and if there were to be any announcements made over the radio and TV none of which seem to be turned on at this point as the group stands around the Circle J

"Frank, your boss is calling." He says to the SWAT man.

"Caleb, time to get to your cabin."

Rust nods as they clean out the Circle J. "And I mean now." He heads toward the car, about ready to hop inside and get moving.

Frank nods in agreement with Rust's comment, though only after scoffing briefly towards Caleb's. As the vehicles begin to move, he feels the overpowering pangs of responsibility gnawing at him without remorse. Reluctantly, one of Frank's hands creeps down towards his cell phone and carefully retrieves it from among his possessions. Pressing the Callback Hotkey, the man then awaits to hear his message as it dials Voicemail.
See what the voice-mail is on speaker phone - hand ready to cut it off or mute it at the first signs of trouble: i.e. some prolonged mysterious silence or even some kind of tone variation from a standard EMS Broadcast, etc.

Tara holds her phone up and looks at it. "Well that was odd." She then turns to see what happens when Frank checks his voice-mail.
