Re: Advancement: Fellowship Phase Info
Vardaen, would the Star of the Dunedain cultural reward make sense for Halleth? I was thinking Aravule could grant it to him. I'm assuming we'll be spending time in Arnor and it will be useful. If not, I can take something like Fell Weapon.
As for the Fellowship Phase undertaking, what if before I leave to join with Aravule, I Confer with Saruman (The Darkening of Mirkwood, p. 50)? I'm undecided about which benefit to take--both are appealing, though I think I'm leaning towards Shadow-Lore.

Star of the Dunedain is such a unique reward. And I'm sure it would come in handy, as I expect we'll be wandering around Arnor soon enough.

Re: Advancement: Fellowship Phase Info
Well what to do you know, you don't have a Warden!
New Fellowship Phase Undertaking:
Confer with Saruman
When companions are spending a Fellowship phase in a location where he can be met, they may go and listen to the words of Saruman the White, great among the Wise of Middle-earth.
A companion who has spent a Fellowship phase conferring with Saruman may gain his next Lore level at half the cost in Advancement points. Alternatively, if the company does not have a warden, Saruman may educate one hero in the dark ways of the Enemy: the character gains the Shadow-lore Trait - at the cost of a permanent Shadow point.
I think the Shadow-lore Trait one is spot on and I would back that one!
The Star of the Dunedain is pretty neat, and I think having Aravule give it to you at the end of the Fellowship Phase would actually be pretty neat.

Re: Advancement: Fellowship Phase Info
My character sheet should be updated now. I assume you'll want to post about Aravule's expedition to take over Tharbad went before I relate most of my Fellowship phase activities besides conferring with Saruman.

Yeah, I'll come up with a Fellowship phase post, but will wait for your opening. Telurin is wondering if/whether/how Saruman might teach him...
