North and East I believe, from the Midlands or so, which would lead us first into modern day York which is also a Brigantes stronghold if I'm not mistaken.

For what land do you refer?

You are currently in what I would say is Southern Yorkshire. Seafyr is probably in Sheffield, Hyllr in Kiveton Park, and Aled's place in Maltby. This is all looking at a map and guess, because I don't know anything about England.

Technically the Corieltauvi were mostly around Leicester, but we might be a peeled off branch... but Amblaib was mostly aiming for somewhere isolated that the new "English" could settle down and count their sheep for a while rather than being thrown from one armed mess to another. Mostly picked Yorkshire because of its marshy terrain and such historically, but Northumberland, Norfolk or even Ireland (!) might be suitable locations.

Up to you really. :D

You are displaced. Remember, your clan was run out of Leicester by the Saxons. Isn't up to me. Tell me where you want to go. Do you wander until you find something? Do you find people and ask? Go to the high king and request? Etc

Studying this map now: http://cubicle7.co.uk/wp-content/upload ... MapWeb.pdf

Looks like our way north is pretty much blocked. What do you guys think? High King or take our chances?

Looks like we could follow the old Roman road to Lindon (Lincoln) There were several old roman villages/forts along that road.

Better to ask forgiveness than permission. I too was going to suggest Lindon.

Take our chances. I also think that at this period of history, the land was pretty thinly settled. In most areas, settlements would be relatively isolated and there should be plenty of wilderness to make our way through.

TetNak wrote:Was the gift done this chapter or last? How long ago RL was it? Basically I just play it by ear and make sure it makes sense.
I used the gift here, in the last chapter on July 12.

I'm trying to get a sense of how often I can use it because it would be useful on a roll like this, but the roll isn't that important that it wouldn't make sense to horde the gift for another occasion if I can't use it often. But are you suggesting that you'll house-rule it so that we can use the gift whenever, as long as we don't abuse it?

Last chapter means you could use it, if you wanted.

Case by case basis otherwise, I think.
