Ashes of the Forgotten: Chapter 1 - Shadows of Omega

Your crew has been hired by Reenus Von Seur, a ruthless crimelord that has become the head of Omega, your mission is simple enough, disable a Salarian merchant ship and steal crate, no more information is given to your crew before you set out. The ramifications of this simple act will prove dire not only for your crew but for the entire galaxy.

Saolina launches herself at the STG soldier in front of her, all the while cursing at the fellow. her barrier protecting her from his attack as she closes in on the Salarian she detonates her barrier sending a mass effect shock wave all around her, the Salarian is lifted off his feet and violently thrown onto the wall behind him, the blast crushes him and leaves him wriggling on the floor in pain gasping for air.

On the cockpit the tense situation continues, Beta'vek continues trying to keep things from escalating as he carefully continues to study the device that the Salarian pilot is holding, the detonator is a wireless trigger of Salarian build, that is all that is really visible without getting a closer look at the device.

Behind Beta the Krogan brother readies himself to shoot the pilot if he decides to make the wrong move.

Bata'Vek pops his head around the door, and shouts to the Salarians. "Ok, wait, wait! Let's not do anything hasty. What are your conditions?" He then pulls back, and holds one finger up to the Krogan pair. He lowers his voice to a whisper, saying, "I'm going to deal with their little trick. On my signal, charge in." He then types furiously into his Omni-Tool, pulling up the appropriate program.
Which do I think has more chance of working? 1) Electronics check to Jam the Signal. Kind of like the jamming we can do for ship-to-ship combat. 2) "Overload" Tech Ability, targeting the Wireless Trigger. Does direct damage/stun to inorganics. I think this would count.

Whichever I think has a better chance of success, going with that.

Beta buys the crew sometime by reasoning with the pilots, but of them seem distressed and frantic. "Conditions? There are no conditions, must not surrender ship, at any cost, must protect ship." As the Salarian rambles on Beta continues to furiously type on his omni-tool's keyboard. A bright green light blinks for a few seconds on the screen before fading away and prompting Beta to stop typing, tired of the mind games the pilot presses the button and braces for an explosion but nothing happens he clicks again, and again nothing. The Krogan brother's immediately open fire on the pilots.

The guns roar and the dumbstruck pilot is hit by both of the Krogans, his shield takes the brunt of the force however the recoil of the hits push him back against the console.

Along with Kinney, Max continued to fire at the STG agent. How is this alien still standing?!

Getting angry at himself, Max yelled at the Salarian as he fired, "Would you just fucking die already!"

With a curse and a scream Max opens fire on the Salarian on his 6, his gun roars as shots are fired, the first volley hits the STG operative in the chest hitting his shield and knocking him slightly back, the second volley goes wide ringing of the left wall sending some sparks into the air.

Taking the hit and grunting slightly the Salarian smiles at Max's rage, he takes aim and let's go a volley headed straight towards Max's head, the shot whistles by Max's ear which only serve to enrage him even more. On the cockpit side Lizzy opens fire on the pilot to the left the one with the detonator in his hand. Her shot goes wide of the mark by quite a lot and it impacts the cockpit's window, after the bullet drops a hairline crack can be seen on the tempered glass. The pilot switches to his side arm and opens fire towards Beta whose shoulder is impacted by the bullet, his shield takes the impact without much effort. The pilot on the right also pulls his weapon and fires on the Krogan standing in the hall. His shots miss the Krogan and embed themselves in the side wall.

Just keeping aim and firing at the Salarian, Kinney cannot belive that the STG is still on his feet at this point. "How the hell is he still up?"
Aim and fire.

Wow.... this combat takes so long...

Kinney takes careful aim and fires upon the Salarian, the shot strikes the alien true, the shield around him banishes and he is struck heavily by the slugs he falls to the ground convulsing in a puddle of his own blood. Saolina looks at the STG member who was just violently thrown against the wall of the hallway by her, the man slowly stands up clutching his chest with his empty hand, with the other he trains his sights on Saolina and opens fire upon her. The Shot catches Saolina square on the chest staggering her a bit and forcing her to take a step backwards. Seeing the Salarian get back up Ustarflu runs towards him and opens fire on him, however in his rush his shots miss the agent.

On the cockpit the Krogan on the right of the door enters the cockpit and opens fire on the pilot his wildly shots going everywhere hitting the walls and frontal window of the cockpit, which continues to splinter.

Yeah part of why it is taking so long is because of the shields i might have to nerf them in the future, also there have been a lot of misses that have drawn out the process a lot/

With her powers in cooldown the Asarii opens fire on the last of the STG members not in the cockpit. "You could surrender, or don't you care since your lives are so short lived anyhow?" She aims and squeezes off a shot with her pistol at the enemy.

Saolina opens fire on the Salarian who refuses to give up fighting. The shot strikes the Salarian in his arm, with a bitter grin on his face he looks at Saolina straight in the eyes and says "You would never understand." Before collapsing on one knee laboring to breathe. Meanwhile on the cockpit the other Krogan brother opens fire on the co-pilot his shots miss and embed themselves into the cockpit's window as more cracks begging to spider through the glass.

"Oh come on, I'm the only one in a sealed suit around here! Try not to get yourselves suffocated! Get in close and suck it up, like a real warrior." The Quarian gives a wild grin, and then runs into the cockpit. His omni-tool lets out a directed electromagnetic pulse, trying to disrupt the shields of the pilot. His Drones back him up, firing at the hostiles.
