Welcome to Gavwar too..
How about the dreaded ice-breaker?
Who has played/GM'd Coriolis before? Who has done PbP before?
What kind of sci-fi stories do you like?

So I'm Gavin, we've exchanged a few message on Facebook for a while now. I live in the UK just outside London. Not played or GM'd Coriolis, although I do GM many other games like Call of Cthulhu, The One Ring, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Star Wars and Dread.
I own the Coriolis rulebook etc and I'm desperate to play it.
I've spent many years playing in PbP. But not for the last 2 or 3 years.
Looking forward to this

Hey Gavin, only fair I posted too.
This will be my first venture into the Third Horizon, though I have played and GM'd a couple of games, Adventures in Middle Earth being the latest.
I've played WFRP, BattleTech, Cyberpunk and a few other systems online now. With work & family life PbP is just about the only' way I can play.
I really like the feel of Coriolis and am looking forward to building some of that into the game.
On a side note I've backed the new KS for Forbidden Lands too.

That does look a nice setting. Sort of reminds me a Darksun setting

I like the fact they've put in an OGL so you can put out your own settings or adventure sites.
But, if the system is similar to Coriolis then it is a nice simple but effective one.

To answer your earlier question on Sci fi stories
I like a element of horror and the unknown. Alien and Aliens. Recently watched the Expanse on Netflix which had a fair bit of intrigue and corruption.
Deep Space 9 was always my favourite Star Trek until recently when the new Discovery come out.
Rouge one and Empire Strikes back are my favourite Star Wars films.
I guess i like a story with a dark side to it.....

I'm just watching the Expanse this week as it happens, a few people have said it is good inspiration for Coriolis.
I agree with you on all counts besides the Discovery one.. DS9 still my favourite. But there is still time.

Re: Coriolis: Main OOC Thread
Morning folks. Just thought I'd let everyone know ahead of time that I won't be participating in this campaign. As I mentioned during the voting process I cited my reasons for not wanting to play in a Mercenary group and seeing how that's the choice the majority has made, I feel as though things would not work out well in the long run if I were to involve myself in a game where my my full commitment just isn't there.
I do hope that this game does well and wish everyone the best of luck in making it an exciting and memorable adventure.
