Grand Duke Avernathus

Appearance: Partially balding, the remainder being white and scruffy. He is thin and wiry, and even with his exalted position he is dressed in practical clothes. He almost always has ink-stained fingers, and various alchemical concoctions on his person.
Public Background: Grand Duke Avernathus takes on handfuls of apprentices, teaching them magical might balanced by the practicality of martial pursuits. His Dukedom of the Porthos Gap has a high title, but little actual importance because of its small size and relative obscurity. There has been some jealousy and dark whispers on how in Taldor the Grand Prince granted Avernathus his title, when so many others were vying for the position as well. No one knows for certain.

Appearance: Duranis' bright red hair and facial scar set him apart in most high-born company. Unless specifically prevented in doing so, he is either in a military uniform or straight arms and armor. He moves and talks with discipline and precision.
Public Background: Baronet Cicato is well known as a battle-tested military man, having fought insurgents and threats throughout the southern lands of the Kingdom. He earned a vicious scar across his face while fighting a group of Urgathoan cultists, in a battle that ended with the cultist's defeat, and several years of prosperity in the region. He technically retired from the military upon the death of his elderly mother, taking his proper seat in the Senate. His voting record indicates a heavy emphasis upon funding and modernizing the military. Even with the extensive amount of funding spent by Taldor, he always votes against any decrease in budget.

Earl Gahez Varima

- Aristocrat / Bard
Appearance: Seen as somewhat of a pretty boy, his charming smile and long silky hair has made him a very popular bachelor. His sense of dress is dapper and expensive, with a lot of gold thread and layered cloth.
Public Background: Unlike many insular nobles of Taldor, Earl Varima has strong connections outside of the Empire. He is especially known to have relatively cordial relationships with the Padishah Empire of Kelesh. His family descends from the regions of Vudra, and he holds a special place in his heart for them. He is seen as a sort of ambassador to Qadira, and a force for future peace between the Empires.

Viscountess Octavia Nicodemius

- Occultist
Appearance: An ancient crone, well into her nineties. Her eyes have clouded over, removing her physical sight.
Public Background: Curator and owner of the Endless Repository, a mysterious archive of objects and information. The Repository itself resides in western Porthmos, and the Viscountess only makes trips to the Capital a few times a year at most. She has standing monetary offers with the Pathfinder Society and the national courts for any ancient or esoteric knowledge. It is believed that the Endless Repository is open to all those who come as scholars, although there are a number of creepy rumors about the place.

Landgrave Ogvai Jarlbjorn
- Human Male
- Barbarian
Appearance: Strong and wild. He cleans up well enough for court, but his style of clothing is that of the barbarians of the Ulfen wilds. He has long blonde hair and piercing blue eyes.
Public Background: The barbarian Ogvai showed up to the Imperial Palace one stormy night warning that the Ulfen homeland was under imminent threat from the Frost Giants of Fog Peaks. He was rebuffed, and later his warning proved true. The survival of several hamlets south of Fog Peaks was in no small part attributed to Ogvai's personal valor. The Grand Prince promoted him to Landgrave for service to the Empire, giving him official status over the land he already protected. He is not politically powerful outside of just his local region, as his uncultured ways make is nigh impossible to make inroads in the Senate. The Ulfen Guard, the personal bodyguards of the Grand Prince, are known to show him more respect than they do the other nobility. Ties of blood are strong.

Marquess Charlotte Deschamps
- Human Female
- Adventurer
Appearance: Marquess Deschamps disdains colorful attire, dressing entirely in dark clothing. She wears minimal jewelry and maintains a simple hairstyle, and is occasionally mistaken for a page or even a well-placed servant.
Public Background: Born as a commoner, Charlotte joined the Pathfinder Society at a young age. Little is known about her exact duties to the Society, but those who oppose her have had a nasty tendency for unfortunate accidents or shortfalls. She was adopted by the disgraced House of Cato, openly championed by Lady Gloriana Morilla and Princess Eutropia. She is openly allied with the Princess' faction.

Lord Remilliard Kastner
- Human Male
- Paladin of Ragathiel
Appearance: Young and vigorous, always wearing the holy symbols of the empryeal lord, Ragathiel.
Public Background: The secession of Cheliax from Taldor split the Kastner family, with only a fifth of them still living in Taldor. The schism within the family was only political at first, but the revelation that the Cheliaxian branch of the family was practicing Diabolism completely divorced the Taldan contingent with their other brethren. Remilliard Kastner is the latest head of the House, and heavily influences his family towards service to the High Heavens. He publicly rejects any peaceful positions with Cheliax and diabolism, although within the empire he is remarkably progressive.
